The Laraba StoryEnjoy the taste of traditional Nigerian Catering

Lara is the founder and visionary of Laraba Catering. She’s passionate about sharing her delicious and healthy brand of Nigerian catering with customers.

Born in Lagos, a port city and the former capital of Nigeria, Lara has spent a lifetime producing exceptional Nigerian food. Cooking in the kitchen before the age of ten, she used a footstool to reach the cooker – she has naturally become a great Nigerian cook!

Lara has lived in the leafy County of Surrey with her family for more than twenty years, cooking exquisite Nigerian dishes for Laraba Catering’s many satisfied customers (and some very eager family and friends.)

Yes it’s true that Nigerian cuisine hasn’t quite made it to the culinary mainstream – not yet at least…But Lara sees no reason why it shouldn’t. And her many happy customers certainly agree.

Before founding Laraba Catering, Lara studied Actuarial Science at the University of Lagos, and qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).As a pensions/Insurance professional, Lara worked with a number of blue chip companies, including Prudential and Nestlé UK.
